What can you expect?

The Hotel Houseperson provides an outstanding guest experience by ensuring the hotel's public spaces are kept clean and maintained in accordance with the quality standards of the hotel.

This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:

  • Cleaning public spaces areas, washrooms, housekeeping office, storerooms & closets. Vacuum all corridors and staircases. Replace guestroom light bulbs.
  • Receive clean linen from truck bay and make sure all soiled linen is regularly emptied from the floor service areas and linen room, sorted, and made ready for transport.
  • Offer assistance to guests and colleagues in a courteous manner, record and complete all guest requests as assigned.
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Clean the hotel Hot Tub, inside and out.
  • Handle all deliveries and load onto carts for delivery to proper storerooms.
  • To instantly report and turn over to Housekeeping office any lost and found items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

And you have:

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to demonstrate excellent guest service and encourage positive employee relations
  • Accountable for remaining productive and efficient while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: a team player and a self-starter, yet able to work independently, reliable; responsible and conscientious.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be in excellent physical condition and able to lift very heavy items.
  • Current First Aid and CPR preferred.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Additional considerations:

  • Employees must always be of a sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
  • This position requires the ability to lift heavy items, walking, standing, crouching, and kneeling for periods of time. This position is also in a high-altitude environment. An appropriate level of physical fitness is required.
  • Some required uniform pieces are provided. Candidates must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions of an indoor/outdoor role at a ski area.

This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
