What you'll do

Reporting to the Promo Marketing Manager, you will assist in the creation and execution of promotions for Sport Chek and Atmosphere. You will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups to strategically build messages for marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Through collaboration with multiple business units, this role will also support the optimization of key promotional programs and activations.

  • Support promotional execution plans based on confirmed promotional strategy and set goals collaboratively with the Promo, Pricing & Operations teams.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with Operations & Marketing teams to evaluate, create & deliver the end-to-end execution on promo programs that align with our business objectives & brand positioning.

  • Work collaboratively with Purchasing to develop compliant marketing messages for use across external marketing channels

  • Manage the communication of weekly strategic promotional offers to internal stakeholders, including marketing, operations, legal and pricing.

  • Support the creative development of customer facing promotional advertising in all channels (Print, Paid Ads, eComm & In-Store)

  • Ensure all promotional marketing messages are executed accurately and in a compliant manner in channel assets

  • Proof executional instruction documents for Sport Chek and Atmosphere store staff, summarizing executional set-ups for events and ensuring messages are clear and accurate

  • Monitor our processes and find efficiencies to optimize our deliverables.

  • Where required, may be responsible for providing support to the Associate Manager of Targeted Offers & the Manager of Promo Optimization

What you bring

  • 2-4 years' experience in marketing, advertising, purchasing or equivalent

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Good knowledge of Excel functionalities

  • Excellent understanding of common retail metrics

  • Able to prioritize workload and effectively manage multiple timelines simultaneously

  • Able to make strategic decisions, even with limited information available

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration as well as independently

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Adapts quickly to changing priorities, manages time, multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Knowledge of Canadian Advertising Laws from the Competition Act considered an asset

  • Knowledge of PMM operating system is beneficial but not mandatory
