Network Administrator

Position Title: Network Administrator

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)

Overview:

Charter is currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team starting mid-March 2025. Working within the network team, the ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Network Admin experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure (i.e., Cisco, Extreme). Previous experience managing enterprise network Firewalls (i.e., Checkpoint, Fortinet) is required. Experience configuring network protocols, managing network security, and collaborating with 3^rd party vendors on network projects would be a great asset. Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid). Candidates must reside in Calgary for the duration of the project. Term: One (1) year. Strong possibility of extension.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8+ years of Network Admin experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure (i.e., Cisco, Extreme).
• Experience managing enterprise network Firewalls (i.e., Checkpoint, Fortinet).
• Experience configuring networking protocols, i.e., VLANs, BGP, TCP/IP, DHCP.
• Experience troubleshooting network issues and resolve connectivity problems.
• Experience documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Education: Active industry certifications, (i.e., CCSA, NSE, CCNP) would be an asset.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
• Candidates must reside in Calgary for the duration of the project.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
