Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Job Title: Security Guard - Casual

Job Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Job Type : Full -Time

Payrate: $22 -$24 per hour

Schedule:12 hour shifts 4 days on 4 days off (rotating from day and night)

Overview:

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Security Professional to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have experience in both security patrolling and dispatching, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Respond swiftly to emergency and security-related calls via radio and telephone.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with field personnel using radio and telephone systems, incorporating Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) for coordination.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and access control alarms to ensure security.
• Prioritize service calls and allocate resources effectively based on urgency.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, ensuring accurate documentation of observations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on incidents and daily activities.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents and emergencies.
• Monitor weather conditions and lightning activity to ensure safety.
• Manage Access Control, Paging, Telecommunication, and Radio Systems.

Requirements

• Must possess Alberta Security Guard License
• Valid Driver's license and recent driver's abstract
• Must be 25+ years of age due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Eligible to work full-time hours in Canada
• Able to clearly and effectively communicate in English
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
• Possess strong computer skills - including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions.
• Demonstrate the ability to appropriately respond to changing circumstances.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Possession of First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Grant MacEwan Emergency Communications Certificate (or equivalent), 911 Operator experience, or previous dispatcher-related experience considered an asset.
