Job Title: Locomotive Driver (Casual)

Location: G3 Morinville

The Locomotive Driver performs duties related to safe operation of the locomotive.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Comply at all times with corporate EH&S policies and best practices.
• Promote effective communications and collaborative working relationships with all G3 and terminal staff
• Safe operation of the locomotive on car loading day
• Shift work – extended hours
• Ability to take direction from G3 Terminal Staff while loading

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic, ability to learn and willingness to take on responsibilities of the position

• Locomotive experience an asset (may consider training)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to troubleshoot minor locomotive problems
• Familiarity with handling grain is an asset
• Must have good working knowledge of CROR (Canadian Railway Operating Requirements)
• Familiar with Department of Transportation regulations
• Good radio communication skills
• Current Locomotive Operator Certification is an asset (training can be arranged)
• Trackside and track safety training/knowledge
