Kids Mountain Camp Leader

Fernie Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of Kids Mountain Camp Leader. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children, will be an excellent communicator with a positive attitude and a customer service orientation. You Will:

• Ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Follow WildSafe BC Ranger Program guidelines and implement schedule of activities and events
• Be energetic, fun, outgoing attitude with our guests and children
• Able to lead creative outside activities daily
• Execute daily age-appropriate programming for children ranging in age from 8 to 12 years
• Work well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines
• Have exceptional guest relations with families and children
• Greet parents and children upon arrival
• Create a smooth transition from separation from parents
• Work well with others
• Punctual and flexible
• Know, adhere and enforce the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
• Know, adhere and enforce all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Know, adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return to Work Programs
• To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

You Have:

• Previous Camp Leading experience preferred
• Staying safe in bear country course an asset, will train!
• Physically fit and capable of hiking
