Brush Crew Team Lead

Working closely with the Director of Operations, you will oversee the summer maintenance of winter ski runs at KHMR. If you have strong leadership skills, enjoy getting your hands dirty, working in the outdoors in all kinds of weather and love the mountain life, this role is for you!

You will:

• Supervise the Brush Crew, overseeing brush cutting, debris removal and trail conditioning of ski runs.
• Ensure trails are maintained to highest level in regard to moving hazards and grooming of rocks, trees and debris.
• Operate slope maintenance or other equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ensure all safety and/or maintenance protocols are adhered to and communicate any concerns to the Director of Operations.
• Be a leader in health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You:

• Are physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and performing manual labor, standing for prolonged periods, walking over rough terrain and working in all outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Have previous supervisory experience - an asset.
• Have experience with brush cutting - an asset.
• Possess a valid class 5 driver's license with clean abstract - an asset.
• Hold a valid first aid and CPR certification - an asset.
• Are familiar with Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and the terrain - an asset.
