Junior Building Operator Summer Student 2025

Working collaboratively with the Building Operator and Operations Supervisor, the student will attend to property operations related duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To learn and perform the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for the property.
• Tasks include, but are not limited to work pertaining to building condition, general overview of fire systems, minor plumbing related tasks, roof condition reviews, landscaping related tasks, maintenance of vacant spaces and general cleaning.
• Liase with Building Operator, Operations Supervisor and contractors regarding work required.
• Maintain daily log book and complete monthly operating reports.
• To complete all required safety training required for the position
• Position will be based out of Kelowna Central Park Shopping Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled as a post-secondary student, possibly in a related program.
• Eager for exposure to best-practice real estate processes and procedures
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities within given deadlines
• Appreciation and willingness to work within a standard set of parameters
• Excellent communication skills and initiative that lead to effective solutions in a deadline-driven environment
