Security Guard - Kelowna Airport (Ylw)

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security professionals to work at the Kelowna International Airport (YLW). As a Security Officer, some responsibilities include curbside traffic control, cart collection, and continuous foot patrol. This is a temporary, full-time position for 3+ months.

Shifts available:

• Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
• Monday to Friday 4:00pm - 12:00am

Wage: $22/hour

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Interior and exterior patrols
• Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public
• Access Control
• CCTV Monitoring
• Curbside traffic control
• Cart collection
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor

Your Must-Haves:

• BC Security License
• Clear criminal record with ability to obtain airport clearances: RAIC and AVOP
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions

Your Nice-To-Haves:

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
• You have resided in Canada for the last five years
• Hold Basic or Intermediate First Aid (OFA 1 or 2)
• Moderate computer skills
