CLASSIFICATION: COOK l
TOTAL REQUIRED 1 (One) Full Time
PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- must have journeyman's papers or equivalent
- basic knowledge of all aspects of cooking
- familiar with making desserts
- banquet experience
- knowledge of health, sanitary and storage regulations
- must be dependable, alert and intelligent
- must demonstrate an above average sense of integrity, capable of refusing the continual requests of friends and staff to allow free food and drink.
- Must be in good physical condition
- must be capable of following instructions as laid out by Supervisor or Ski Area Management whether it be in the form of manuals, memos or verbal instructions.
- Must show self-motivation and ability to work well under supervision as well as without supervision.
- Must be able to work shift work, holidays and weekends
- Current food safe for food handling, rotation of food and proper storage of food.
- Must be able to teach, support and lead kitchen staff in preparing food items for multiple outlets serviced by the Stemwinder kitchen
- Must have exceptional communication skills with upper management and the food & beverage team (BOH & FOH).
- Must ensure follow up on daily task work for business volumes.
