We are looking for a talented IT Lead to join our team! Reporting to the Director of IT, the Corporate IT Lead will be responsible for looking after implementation, maintenance of cloud infrastructure, Windows & Mac systems, AD-LDAP accounts. Fostering good relationships and looking after Mainframe and all sister companies under Kartoon Studios.


In this role you will:


  • Creation and termination of AD-LDAP accounts and all other cloud based software. Monitoring user permissions, and security alerts.
  • Implements automated systems management functions, including performance metrics, status monitoring, intrusion detection, virus scanning and data integrity.
  • Working closely with internal and external teams to identify and triage operational issues.
  • Engaging vendors and support teams when necessary to ensure that incidents are resolved in a timely manner within SLA timeframes
  • Produces detailed documentation for servers and networking infrastructure, as well as procedural documentation.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures, service outage workarounds and system safeguards.
  • Works with other Systems Administrators to install, configure, tune, monitor, troubleshoot and test server, storage and network systems and services in both Windows and Linux environment.
  • Works with Desktop Support personnel to maintain and support corporate and accounting users and systems and servers, including Windows, Macintosh and Linux machines.
  • Works with Desktop Support personnel to maintain and support production users, systems and servers.
  • Presents a helpful, resourceful and positive approach to designing, implementing, managing and assessing IT systems and services.
  • Works closely with the Director of Technology to determine goals, objectives, initiatives and directions for the improvement of IT corporate and accounting systems and services.
  • Fulfills department team requirements: participating in regular and special meetings, filling out timesheets, occasional working after-hours and carrying a cellular phone.


Need to have:


  • Significant experience administering Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS in multi site env across the globe.
  • Google workspace, Microsoft 365 environment with focus on Windows and MAC.
  • NFS/NTFS permissions.
  • Good knowledge of security and security audit. Working with MDR & EDR solutions a big asset.
  • Real work experience building and deploying servers and workstations in a corporate environment.
  • Experience building, supporting and administering a MySQL database server.
  • Experience managing Windows Domains, VMWare servers including formulating back out and data migration plans.
  • Experience with Configuration Management (SCCM, etc.)
  • Proven experience in systems administration, supporting accounting and top level executives.
  • Experience with data management, backup and archival processes, and system performance monitoring and tuning.


Nice to have:


  • Successful completion of a recognized public or private course in Information Technology, MIS or Network Services and/or
  • 3+ years working in a system administration and server support capacity in a mid to large company (60+ users).
  • Working knowledge of Windows & Linux services, VLAN networking, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365.
