Responsibilities

Performs general housekeeping and kitchen duties

Duties:

  • Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.
  • Performs kitchen cleaning duties including washing dishes, machinery, ovens, fridges, garbage, etc.
  • Prepares dining room for meal service.
  • Serves meals, buses and sanitizes tables.
  • Observes clients and their environments, and reports unsafe conditions and behavioral, physical, and/or cognitive changes to supervisor.
  • Completes and maintains related records and documentation such as communication books and progress reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Recent, related experience of three months or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience or other Qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients
