Reporting to the Leader or designate and working within the context of a research culture and in accordance with established policies and procedures, vision and values of PHSA, the Research Projects Coordinator 2 works in collaboration with senior scientists and Principal Investigators (PI’s) to manage various projects and grants within a PHSA Research Centre or Entity. The Research Projects Coordinator 2 assists in establishing budgets and milestones for various projects and grants and develops strategies to monitor the progress of projects to ensure project objectives and milestones are met. The Research Projects Coordinator 2 also reviews and evaluates project management methods and makes recommendations to improve efficiency. This position utilizes analytical thinking and strong project management skills to accurately evaluate the project as it relates to the Centre or Entity and multiple stakeholders and to coordinate effective implementation of solutions among departments. The Research Projects Coordinator 2 supervises students and orients staff to project management processes and procedures as required.

The successful candidate will be involved in research projects related to studies of genetic variation and genome instability in cancer and other diseases. A specific emphasis is on the analysis of single cell genomes using directional Strand-seq libraries (Akbari et al., 2022; Hanlon et al., 2022 ) Candidates with recent related experience in the production of Strand-seq sequencing libraries and flow cytometry are especially encouraged to apply"

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time (Until January 1, 2026)
Salary Range: $74,618- $107,264 per year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
Location: 675 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1G1
