Associate Dentist - Locum - Urban Smiles Victoria

The team at Urban Smiles Victoria in Victoria, BC is looking for a passionate, hard-working Associate Dentist on a temporary basis. (3 week paternity leave April/May 2025)

The Associate Dentist will provide a full range of dental services with the highest quality of care to ensure our patients have a positive, rewarding experience and leave with a smile. The Ideal Associate for our team and practice is skilled in helping patients feel at ease and comfortable, can clearly communicate with both patients and coworkers, and work independently as needed.

We are a small boutique style clinic in the heart of downtown Victoria. We have three restorative and three hygiene operatories. We offer a variety of dental services and have a healthy patient base, as well as long term staff.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

COMPENSATION:

Associates are compensated on a fee for service basis with remuneration starting from 40% collections and higher (depending on experience)

SCHEDULE:

• 32-40 hours per week
• Days of the week (Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday)
• Temporary contract (April 28th - May 16th)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Program from an accredited school or university program, OR successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) equivalency process.
• Registered or in processing of registering with the:
  • Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario
  • British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals
• Eligible to practice dentistry in the province of British Columbia
• 2 years of experience in practicing dentistry in Canada is an asset, OR new graduates welcome with mentorship provided
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients’ families
