We’re searching for a Brand Manager. Are you searching for new possibilities? The role is an 18-month contract and can be undertaken remotely from anywhere in Manitoba or Saskatchewan. Occasional travel to branches and to facilitate events and sponsorships are required.

As a Brand Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Westland Insurance brand in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, including developing and implementing brand and marketing strategies; working closely with regional sales leaders on B2C and B2B marketing initiatives; and planning sponsorships, advertising, and events. Additionally, the Brand Manager will work on and lead national projects, including planning and executing co-operative marketing campaigns alongside Westland’s insurance carriers. Why we’ll love You:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a relevant field with 5+ years in a B2C and B2B marketing role
  • Highly collaborative, able to partner with sales leaders to drive aligned sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Strategically minded, as well as a master of execution
  • Strong attention to detail and keen focus on quality
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Experience in digital channels including paid, SEO, email and CRO
  • Experience across sponsorship, OOH, local advertising (TV/radio), events, and in-store marketing
  • Exceptional copywriting skills, both externally when creating conversion-focused copy across email, web, paid and print; and internally when developing business cases and presentations
  • Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop will be an asset

Once here, you'll:

  • Assess and refine the current marketing strategy in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, including planning and executing high-impact sponsorships and local advertising initiatives, while attending events and activations as needed.
  • Manage the marketing budget for these regions, tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with budget allowances.
  • Build strong relationships with local sales leaders, including branch, regional, and commercial managers, to align marketing efforts and drive regional success.
  • Lead rebranding activities for mergers and acquisitions, maintaining brand integrity and consistent messaging across external channels such as in-branch displays, local ads, websites, and social media.
  • Collaborate with Westland’s digital team on demand generation initiatives and work with Brand Managers on both regional and national campaigns, including co-operative marketing with insurance carriers.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing programs, continuously identifying opportunities to enhance performance, and support cross-functional projects with the marketing, CX, and digital teams.
