JOB SUMMARY:

  • RE-THERM MEALS FOR RESIDENTS.
  • ASSEMBLES MEALS ACCORDING TO INDIVIDUAL DIET ORDER.
  • DELIVERS AND COLLECTS DISHES AND CUTLERY.
  • PREPARES DINING ROOM FOR MEAL SERVICE AS REQUIRED.
  • SERVES RESIDENTS' MEALS IN THE DINING ROOMS.
  • WASHES AND SANTIZES DISHES AND OTHER EQUIPMENT.
  • OPERATES FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT.
  • PERFORMS CLEANING DUTIES TO MAINTAIN DEPARTMENT STANDARDS.
  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GRADE XII EDUCATION.
  • MUST SUCCESFULLY PASS A PRE-HIRE SCREENING TEST.
  • A VALID FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATE.
  • A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE AS A DIETARY AIDE.
  • CURRENT CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK, VULNERABLE PERSONS AND ADULT ABUSE REGISTRY CHECK MUST BE PROVIDED.

SKILLS:

  • MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITY TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE JOB.
  • ABILITY TO WORK COOPERATIVELY IN A STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT WITH EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS.
