Elderly Person's Housing (EPH) - 165 Donwood Drive

Casual |Days/Evenings and weekends

Reporting to the Tenant Resource Coordinator, the EPH Service Assistant will assist EPH Tenants with providing light housekeeping and meal service in the EPH Dining Room.

Qualifications:

ñGrade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required;

ñPreference for prior housekeeping experience in the healthcare or hospitality services;

ñExcellent command of the English language (both oral and written)

ñGeneral skills and ability to perform all tasks and responsibilities relevant to duties of the position;

ñAbility to follow directions promptly and efficiently;

ñAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members;

ñExceptional customer service skills with a demonstrated understanding of person-centred care;

ñExperience working with seniors; working in seniors housing or health related field an asset.

ñAbility to work independently and as a member of the team.

ñThe individual must demonstrate empathy and patience towards the senior population.

ñExperience in light housekeeping and meal service is an asset.

ñMust be able to function effectively in a stressful environment with frequent interruptions.

ñMust be physically able to meet the demands of the position as the position involves physical activity such as lifting, bending, carrying, and reaching.

Responsibilities:

ñLight housekeeping duties in EPH tenant suites.

ñMeal service in EPH dining room.

ñSet tables in EPH dining room

ñPerform housekeeping duties in EPH dining room.
