Who you are
You have a worked as a Plastic Surgery Specialist for a minimum of 1 year.
You possess a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies (residency) in the field of Plastic Surgery.
You must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
The Department of Plastic Surgery requires that members practicing Plastic Surgery be a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with subspecialty certification in Plastic Surgery from an accredited program to be eligible for active membership. Candidates with Royal College eligibility may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.
What you will do
Reporting to the Plastic Surgery Department Head and the Medical Director for the area, the Plastic Surgery Specialist collaborates with other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered, Nurses, and other Allied Medical Staff.
A typical weekly schedule will include:
- Provide outpatient and inpatient service for assessment and management of new and follow-up patients.
- Participate in an equally shared on-call rotation.
- Teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students.
- Participate in medical practice that is compatible with the Health Authority's mission, values, and strategic directions.
- Other duties that may arise by circumstance and may be assigned by the Department of Plastic Surgery.
