What does a Security Guard for The RCMP do?

Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property
-
Point of contact with authorities and emergency services
-
Monitor detainees
- Complete administrative functions
- Conduct preventive surveillance rounds
Qualifications to become a Security Guard for the RCMP detachment
- Available to work flexible hours (days, evenings, nights, weekdays, weekends)
- Policing or corrections background or 3+ years as a high-profile security officer
- First Aid CPR Level C (issued by Red Cross, St John Ambulance, Heart and Stroke)
- Permanent Canadian resident for a minimum of 5 years.
- Have a clear criminal background
- Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Reliability Security Clearance status
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Bilingual is an asset (as needed per location)
