We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Mobile Asset & Logistics team to provide a range of support services including document preparation, data entry, customer service, vacation scheduling, general administrative support for special projects or initiatives, and other related duties.

Reporting to the Advisor Fleet Management, and working Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., you will:

  • Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards - actively engaging in safety initiatives and promoting our "Zero harm" safety culture
  • Perform data entry to ensure accurate information is promptly captured in appropriate information systems
  • Accurately maintain vacation records
  • Provide general administrative support to the Supply Chain Department
  • Establish and maintain office filing systems, files and records, assemble information upon request, direct other employees in file maintenance procedures

What you'll bring

  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others to achieve results
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP software is an asset
  • Experience with workforce scheduling, in a unionized environment, is an asset
