This role can be tailored to a Senior or Junior Engineering student. The spectrum of decision-making will be entry-level, with the support and guidance for decisions being provided by Senior Team Leaders, using defined practices and processes. It will provide valuable engineering and project execution related experience working on the West White Rose Project (WWRP).
The successful candidate will report directly to the Subsea Installation & Engineering Lead. Overall, this position will be a supporting role in planning the safe execution of subsea-related activities/operations for WWRP.

What you'll do
Support subsea related scopes such as saturation diving, flexible pipe installation, and subsea construction activities.
Support onshore preparation operations.
Work with other WWRP groups such as the Marine, Concrete Gravity Structure and Topsides teams, as well as Project Controls, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management, QHSE, as required.
Liaise with the Engineering Procurement Construction and Installation Contractor during project engineering activities.
Participate in design review, HAZID / HAZOP/ risk assessments, constructability review workshops, etc. relating to the subsea installation program
Promote and support a safe and environmentally sound work culture.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work in May 2025
Leadership - ability to collaborate with various contractors and partners on behalf of the organization during completion of Subsea scopes of work
Adaptability - ability to work in a team environment with members with varying backgrounds
Strong communication skills - ability to convey information concisely and accurately, both internally and externally
Understanding of the role of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems in the oil and gas industry
Awareness level of knowledge of offshore installation activities on diving and construction vessels including subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowline and subsea production systems.
Have a basic understanding of structural engineering & naval architectural engineering concepts as related to the oil & gas industry for major projects
Working knowledge of Microsoft based applications such as Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.
Familiar with using AutoCAD.
Technical writing abilities

Education
Must be enrolled in a Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical or Naval Architectural Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
