At the Department of Finance and Treasury Board we strive to provide financial leadership, analysis and policies that strengthen Nova Scotia. As stewards of the province's financial affairs, we deliver a wide range of corporate fiscal and management services - including the preparation of the provincial budget - as well as ensure government plans are coordinated and fiscally responsible.

As the Finance Co-op Student, you will administer and perform the day-to-day operations of Financial Advisory Services, Public Works by ensuring proper documentation, verification, authorization, job costing and account coding. The Finance student maintains the general ledger by reviewing, reconciling, and analyzing on a daily and monthly basis for accounting and data errors or inconsistencies.

You also can work independently with little supervision and in team environments. You possess strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and displays initiative and resourcefulness with a strong attention to detail.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Pay Grade: HOURLY
Salary Range: $17.02 - $29.11 Hourly
