Job Summary & Key Responsibilities | WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 3220 "Cross Cultural Issues and Social Work Practice" Section 53. This course is part of the Africentric BSW Cohort program and will be offered in the Summer term, from May-August 2025. Note: this is an online course. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. Distance courses are taught using an online learning management system (LMS) known as Brightspace. Distance courses require on-line availability for consultation with students. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery. |
Qualifications/Requirements of Position | A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, preferably with online teaching. |
Salary Range/Pay Rate | Per CUPE Collective Agreement |
