What you will do

The dispatcher is responsible for safely and efficiently dispatching Winter Road trucks. Maintains a professional corporate image as the contact person with the road users, client and various Government agencies.

A day in the life

Reporting to the Manager of Winter Road Dispatch and to site, your job duties include:

  • Keep register of drivers, loads and weight scale tickets;
  • Capture load, driver and truck details on the winter road dispatch system;
  • Timely dispatching of truck convoy;
  • Assist clients with issues on the dispatch system;
  • Communicate any road related briefings to drivers;
  • Keep a good understanding of the rules of the road and assist road users;
  • Communicate scheduling information to client and users;
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, orders, driver records, safety incidents, etc;
  • Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

  • You can manage multiple phone lines.
  • Ability to work in general office environment.
  • Must be able to obtain Security clearance.

Working Conditions

  • Type of position: Seasonal (~27 January – 2 April).
  • Work schedule: 3 weeks in x 1 week out.
  • Work Hours: 84 hours a week.
  • Location: Remote mining camp.

What we offer

Salary Range: $28 - $30 per hour based on experience
