JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to expand and deepen our business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working with databases (SQL), some programming knowledge, the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex data sets, and the ability to deliver reports and insights to stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Reporting & Visualization: Work with financial and operational data to build, troubleshoot, and maintain dashboards.
  • Data Handling & Process Improvement: Understand and refine existing data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency without requiring deep ETL or data engineering expertise.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics: Identify trends, key variances, and performance against metrics, and communicate these insights to various internal user groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, economics, statistics or equivalent accreditation in data or financial analytics.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or data visualization role.
  • Proficiency in data visualization software (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI/DAX, etc).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong grasp of Python and SQL.
  • Experience with statistics, machine learning and AI tools for business intelligence applications is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to tell data stories.
  • Persistent, detail-oriented, and highly committed to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

EXPECTED HOURS

  • This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week . Most of your time will be spent working 9 am - 5 pm EDT, Monday - Friday.
  • There will be an expectation to travel to Toronto /GTA at least a few times a year.

COMPENSATION

  • $50,000 - $55,000 CAD annual salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Friday afternoon "Go Play Days" during the summer months (our version 1/2-day summer Fridays.
  • Complimentary league play (we practice what we preach).
