Position Summary: The snowmaking supervisor (nights) is responsible for supervising the snowmaking team and snowmaking operations during the night shift. This role ensures that all equipment runs efficiently to produce adequate snow coverage across the resort, ensuring a quality experience for our guests. The schedule for this position is full time, 10pm - 6am.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the snowmaking team during night shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Complete all snowmaking operations and other tasks as assigned.
  • Equipment operation.
  • Some mechanical maintenance and welding.
  • Placing protective padding around snowmaking hydrants, lift towers, etc.
  • Operate snowmobiles when in use with care and caution at all times.
  • Communicate and work alongside other snowmakers and snow plant operators.
  • Perform outdoor general labour as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supervising snowmaking operations is an asset.
  • Previous experience in snowmaking, required.
  • Previous experience supervising people is an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in cold temperatures.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of the coming ski season.
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks that include bending and twisting.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
