Please note this is a 1-year contract position.

P&H Milling

P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.

From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

Your Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Administrator to join our team and assist in the management of flour and grain contracts. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring smooth contract management, and assisting with essential reporting.

Day to Day

  • Report wheat and pulse receipts to suppliers and process associated invoices.
  • Purchase office supplies, janitorial products, and coffee & beverage stock.
  • Monitor grain contract balances and prepare activity reports for vendors.
  • Enter, modify, and balance flour contracts as needed.
  • Process vendor invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Provide support for month-end data and reporting activities.
  • Assist with any other procurement-related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting.
  • Exceptional math and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
