Motion's Cornwall location is adding a healthcare professional to the team! The will be a PART-TIME 16 month maternity leave contract, working 24 hours per week. The contract will start on May 1st, 2025 and end September 30th, 2026. We are looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT), a Registered Nurse (RN) OR a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).

The role:

We are adding a compassionate, problem-solving, and responsive healthcare professional to our team in Cornwall. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience every time to our valued clients, their loved ones, and the community healthcare practitioners that make up their care team. You will prioritize comfort and attention, ensuring clients feel welcome and taken care of. You will drive behind-the-scenes efficiency and processes and collaborate with colleagues in our store and warehouse.

How you will spend your days:

  • Provide solutions. You will work directly with clients and their healthcare teams to select the items that best suits their needs. You will ensure that Motion is the top choice for the oxygen and CPAP business in Cornwall and surrounding area, by building relationships, keeping up with new products and developing your knowledge of our equipment.
  • Build and maintain relationships. You will constantly expand your network and develop and maintain contact with health care professionals to promote sales of the company's products; provide information on new or existing products and services; demonstrations; prepare quotations and make presentations as deemed appropriate by the company. You know how to work closely with therapists to determine the needs of the client to obtain the best-fit equipment.
  • Support the location. You will work with the management team to develop the Oxygen & CPAP business. You will participate in training programs and make decisions that affect the business. You will be accountable for maintaining inventory of stock that is on loan as well as supplies used for demonstration. You will be a valuable team member by contributing to a clean and organized location and helping our customers with their needs.

What you bring:

  • Experience. You have worked in a fast-paced office environment or a customer-facing role. You are deadline driven and can prioritize and manage a myriad of tasks as they come up throughout the day, be it from clients or other team members. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, comfortable navigating databases, and can learn new software quickly. You have proven consultative skills to provide information, advice and guidance to health care professionals on products and services.
  • Knowledge of various disabilities and their functional limitation.
  • Interpersonal skills. You love building relationships with people and you know how to work with customers to find the best solutions to fit their needs. You have professional and flexible communication skills and are comfortable responding to urgent inquiries on the phone, by email or in person - sometimes all at once. You can navigate any situation in a friendly, empathetic and compassionate manner.
  • Ability to Exercise sound judgment in:
    • Identifying health care professionals and organizations to call on and determining the most appropriate method of providing product/service information, i.e., demonstrations, brochures, instructional presentations etc.
    • Identifying most suitable features of products for individual disability needs and recommending same.
    • A proven history of successfully growing sales
  • Must have RRT, RPN or RN certification
  • Must have vehicle - mileage will be paid
  • Additional must-have requirements. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable.
