The Opportunity:

Under Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for a Social Media Intern to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Social Media Intern, you willbe responsible for supporting the Social Media team generating compelling and shareable content across the social channels of Sunwing Vacations Group. You will support all social media activations and track performance.

The Social Media Intern must be a skilled social media generalist with a creative eye for detail. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Social Media and will be located in Toronto, ON.

What You'll Do:

  • Support Social Media team with content development tailored to our key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube) with a focus on boosting engagement and growing brand presence.
  • Create content that aligns with the distinct tone and voice of Sunwing Vacations, SellOffVacations, and Sunwing Weddings, while also ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Assist in maintaining a monthly content calendar for all brand accounts, ensuring a consistent flow of posts that resonate with our audience.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and identify ways to tap into current conversations so that the brands stay relevant and engaging.
  • Schedule and monitor social media posts through management platform, Emplifi.
  • Track the performance of content and campaigns using UTM tracking and other analytics tools, providing regular reports on social media performance and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other team members and cross-functional departments to support content creation, activations, and brand campaigns.
  • Assist with content capture at events or activations, providing real-time support and content for social media posts.
  • Contribute to monthly reports (Proof of Post) and provide insights on content performance.

What You'll Need:

  • Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Business Administration coop program.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and practice effective time management
  • Able to work in fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Content creation background is an asset
  • French is an asset
  • Graphic design experience is a plus (Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
