Join our Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) project. Honeywell will be installing and replacing residential and commercial electrical meters for electrical utility services across the province of Ontario and in selected deployment areas.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commercial Meter Installer to join our team in Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of both residential and commercial electric meters across the province, often working in challenging outdoor conditions ranging from extreme heat to cold weather. Your duties will include troubleshooting defective or problematic meters, utilizing state-of-the-art data collection tools via handheld tablet computers, and ensuring prompt, accurate, and professional interaction with local utility customers.

Adherence to safety policies and procedures is paramount, including the diligent execution of hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as outlined by company protocols.

Honeywell provides comprehensive training, certifications, and the necessary equipment to enable successful task completion. Travel throughout Ontario will be required.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 education)
  • MEARIE Meter Technician Certified
  • Customer required background verification checks must be completed and approval maintained
  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record

  • Demonstrated ability to install both commercial and residential electric meters
  • Sound knowledge/education of 3 phase power fundamentals and theory
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn all types/forms of electricity meters and associated equipment
  • Ability to validate a minimum of 8000 hours of electrical or metering experience as gained through a certified apprenticeship program
  • Strong problem-solving skills
    Capacity to thrive in diverse outdoor environments
  • Excellent technical, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Previous customer-facing experience is highly desirable
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency
