Technical and Job-Related Responsibilities
•Test, calibrate verify system and peripheral devices. Testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes (e.g., ULC536)
•Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
•Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches
•Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.
•Update customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes
•Ensure all assigned preventive maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled
•Respond to and resolve complex emergency service calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables. Complex service calls include those on integrated and multi-vendor systems
•Diagnose and perform repairs in a time effective manner
•Project Management of and/or participation in delivery of small service or install jobs, including but not limited to, engineering, drawings, programming, documentation, installation, management of sub-contractors, start-up, testing and customer acceptance. Coordinate with Solution Design Center or local engineer to understand scope, hardware, software, graphics and as-built details
•Keep abreast of changes and new developments in product and preventive maintenance techniques
•Act as a mentor to junior technicians
•Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required
Customer Management
•Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations
•Keep supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems
•Supply information on adds or extras to appropriate Honeywell resource e.g., Site Primary Technician, Service Job Sales Representative, Field Service Leader, etc.
•Demonstrate system and provide training to customers as required
Financial Responsibilities
•Participate in the preparation of job plans that cover job costs. Jobs to be completed as sold within the budgeted cost and timelines
•Supply quotes to customers on adds and extras identified or as requested
Health, Safety and Statutory Compliance
•Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements
•Report near misses, incidents and other opportunities for improvement
Administrative Responsibilities
•Be responsible for Honeywell’s assets such as tools, proprietary software, and site database
•Attend and complete training programs as required
•Accurate and timely submission of all required paperwork, meet all reporting requirements
Must Have:
Must be seeking an Associate or technical college degree, must graduate May 2026.
Experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Must have a valid driver’s license and have a clean driver’s abstract
Must be able to obtain Reliability Government security clearance and controlled goods
