Job Description

In this role you will support the planning, execution and overall student experience as it relates to meal plans, dining halls, retail food, and cultural events on campus. You will assist with creating pre- and post- event content for social media, and your passion for people will support regular in-person tabling events, engaging with the student population on Queen's University campus. This is a part-time student position and will require the successful candidate to be able to work flexible hours. Reports directly to the Marketing Coordinator of Aramark for support and direction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team by coordinating in- person informational tabling and meal plan sales.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of dining hall events and promotions.
  • Assist with the setup of events as required (decorating, setting up booths).
  • Be present at dining and retail events to take videos and photos with documented consent at events and collect feedback/testimonials from students.
  • Attend tabling events to promote and drive engagement in Campus Meal Plans and other Hospitality Services initiatives.
  • Assist with executive social media planning and tracking of engagement.
  • Record debriefings of all events.
  • Assist marketing coordinator in administrative tasks such as putting up signage, swapping table toppers, laminating signage, picking up packages and mailings, and more.

Qualifications

  • Outgoing personality with strong communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Social media savvy
  • Comfortable being in front of the camera and speaking to peers
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and as a team member
  • Strong ability to work under pressure in stressful situations with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Queen's University building locations, facilities, etc.
  • Work shifts will vary, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Successful candidates must be able to work flexible hours, with some shifts beginning early in the morning and others ending late in the evenings

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
