In this exciting Human Resources opportunity, you will be looking for creative, and innovative ways to improve our HR team, processes, and systems; ensuring what we are doing is truly adding value to the business and our employees. The HRBP Generalist is responsible for supporting the HRBP function for their assigned sites and client groups within Distribution, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Research and Development environments. The incumbent will collaborate with the HR Centre Of Excellence (COE) teams to ensure the HR team is supporting the needs of the business and its employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Positive Employee Relations / Communications

  • Leading and Supporting the HRBP Manager with fostering a culture of positive employee relations and engagement. Supporting investigations, issue resolution, corrective actions, and coaching/guiding of managers/employees in regard to policies / procedures interpretation, central contact for local employee communications. Participating in Employee roundtables, and quarterly operational update meetings.
  • Work with the HRBP Manager to support local organizational change initiatives.

Performance Management / Talent Management

  • Supporting the HRBP Manager with performance management / talent management processes locally, participating in the annual performance calibration sessions (hourly/salary), and reporting and tracking of performance management / talent data.

Local HRBP Support Activities

  • Supporting learning and development initiatives and facilitate roll-out of various HR training programs.
  • Partnering with HR COE’s to ensure our HR policies and programs are meeting the local needs of our client groups.
  • Providing guidance and resolution to internal inquiries pertaining to ESA, Employee Handbook and OHSA.
  • Generating HR metrics to identify trends and support workforce planning.
  • Supporting the HR department administratively as required.

Talent Acquisition

  • Partnering with Hiring Managers to ensure we are adhering to our recruitment process.
  • Participate in the interview process and on-boarding of both internal and external hires.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Post-Secondary/HR Diploma/Certificate required
  • CHRP/CHRL preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in HR Management or a related field
  • Experience within Manufacturing, Supply Chain / R&D environments preferred

HR Functional Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills a must.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused and able to build trust and collaborative relationships at all levels.
  • High learning agility, strong capability for problem-solving, data analytic & decision making and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting tact, good judgment, diplomacy and flexibility.
  • Track record of driving positive employee relations that builds trust and open communication and Engages, Enables, and Empowers employees.
  • Experience in either Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Research and Development, Distribution an asset
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and HRIS an asset (Oracle/SAP systems knowledge preferred).
  • Business knowledge/acumen and experience with organizational change management preferred.
  • Driver’s License required, travel between facilities in GTA may be required (10% of time)
