Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Operations, the Administrative and Accounting Support Student will be responsible for:

  • Providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers and responding to their inquiries in a timely manner
  • Tracking and processing invoices, cheque requisitions in accordance to Purchasing and Expenditure Control Policies.
  • Work on Daily Contract Sheets data entry
  • Assist in reconciliation of general ledger accounts and purchase orders
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, including assisting in data entry, filing, budget binder update, calculation of cost associated with Operations activities

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in the field of Accounting or related discipline
  • Good customer service skills
  • Strong attention to details and demonstrated ability for accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of accounting and well developed MS Office computer skills including Excel, Word, Access
  • Strong organizational skills including ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
