Our team is actively seeking dynamic Leaders with an arts specialist background for our Summer Camp 2025 team. Specialty Arts Camp Counsellors will be responsible for the instruction of comprehensive drama, dance, music, visual arts and/or digital design camp(s) as outlined by Culture Programs to meet the needs of participants and to ensure adequate safety while facilitating the activity.
We are hiring the following types of Specialty Arts Camp Counsellors:
• Ceramics
• Dance
• Drama
• Visual Arts
Applicants applying for these positions should be aware that Culture Specialty Arts Camps have the following characteristics:
• Full Day Camps
• Each camp program runs 1 week
• Camps are held at various locations across the City including community centres and specialty arts facilities (Living Arts Centre, Meadowvale Theatre)
Additional Information
• Staff will be paid minimum wage on an hourly basis for attending required training or meetings.
• Employment Period is from March 10 - 14, 2025. Full Days (as early as 7:30 am and as late as 6:00pm with extended hours)
• Training for this position will be the following days; March 1st (on site training) and March 3rd or 6th (camp leader training). All trainings are mandatory and will be held on various evenings and weekends
• Interviews will be held late January/Early February

o Emergency or Standard First Aid with CPR B or C certification (must be recognized by WSIB) which must remain current during employment period.
o HIGH FIVE ® Principles of Healthy Child Development certification.
o Level 3 - Vulnerable Sector Check to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted. This is a condition of employment.
