Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Materials Engineering Intern to support the Materials Engineering group at the Mississauga, Ontario site.

This role requires the individual to multitask across several concurrent tasks and assignments supporting Production, Design, and Quality groups. The individual will provide Materials Engineering support with guidance from senior level engineers. These activities can include materials and process selection, completing customer deliverables, technical problem solving, failure analysis, drafting specifications, process development, and execution of technical projects.


YOU MUST HAVE

•Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Metallurgy discipline, from an accredited college or university.
•The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
•Must graduate before May 2026.


WE VALUE

•Experience and knowledge supporting design and manufacturing of electronic assemblies (printed boards, printed board assembly, soldering / solder metallurgy, conformal coating, cable and wire harness assembly), mechanical assembly and joining (welding, brazing, fasteners, adhesives), chemical processes (painting, plating), castings, composites.
•Experience and knowledge in the selection, functionality, and physical properties of materials.
•Experience reviewing/interpreting drawings, material and process specifications, and technical data sheets.
•Experience supporting production activities in a factory setting.
•Ability to independently convey technical ideas and concepts through team discussions, presentations and in writing.
•Ability to independently create specific action plans, prioritize time and resources effectively.
•Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet expectations of internal and external customers.
•Strong focus on task completion and exceeding expectations.
•Strong focus on problem solving.
•Strong technical writing skills.
•Strong communication skills to assure clarity and confidence for all projects, actions, and deliverables.
•Ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and information.
•Ability to multi-task work assignments.
•Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Outlook.
