Job Description:
About the Role
We are looking for ambitious movie-obsessed students to join our IMAX Internship Program this Summer! This 10-week program will focus on hands-on learning, skill development, and real-world work experience in a collaborative and innovative environment. This program will take place June-August in our Mississauga office!
We're looking for someone to partner with departments across the organization including Marketing, IT, HR and Finance to manage cost savings opportunities on external spend. You'll work with our internal team members and our suppliers on projects to help reduce costs.
What You'll Do:
Identification of cost optimization opportunities for assigned spend categories through bid processes, contract negotiations and supplier consolidation
Build financial models and structure presentation materials with input from executive stakeholders
Evaluate industry trends and interpret potential implications
Conduct third party research
What You'll Need:
Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or related field
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize changing demands.
Strong analytical, financial modeling and negotiating skills
Detail-oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have:
Self-starter, well-organized, able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Flexible, agreeable and a team player
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Outlook Excel, PowerPoint and Internet savvy
High level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
