Profile

The 16-month Maintenance Engineering Intern will work in the aircraft data management & analysis department under the guidelines & directions of Maintenance Engineering specialists.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with data collection, management, and governance.
  • Collect component repair cost information from aircraft operators and component repair facilities.
  • Conduct total material cost analysis using purchase and repair cost information.
  • Track material cost to established targets and provide reporting on cost reduction opportunities to management.
  • Conduct Direct Maintenance Cost (DMC) Analysis in support of contractual negotiations and Engineering Design Changes.
  • Assist with and/or provide qualitative and timely reliability / cost data and analyses to key supporting functions in Technical Services and Support, Sales & Marketing, Procurement, Engineering and other De Havilland teams.
  • Collaborate with many departments within De Havilland such as In Service Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Programs, Technical Publications, Engineering, Project Engineering, Supply Chain.
  • Work together with airline/aircraft operator team members worldwide.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Current aerospace engineering student bachelor's degree.
  • Preference to students who have completed at least 3 years of undergraduate education.

Skills

  • MS Office Experience required.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
