Reporting to the Manager, Benefits & Rewards, the Benefits & Rewards Specialist will be responsible for the annual recognition programs (Long Service and Corporate Awards) as well as lead the re-design of recognition programs and technology. This role will also provide support in the design, recommendation and implementation of various Total Rewards initiatives and projects at the City. • Support Total Rewards projects from a technical standpoint that would include responsibility for project deliverables such as ensuring all details are considered and actioned, reporting, creating policies and processes, reference documents
• Complete and analyze various benchmarking data to come up with insights and recommendations for management
• Support the review of the City of Mississauga Recognition programs through administration, process efficiencies, technology etc.
• Detailed knowledge of policies, and ability to create and update policies to ensure compliance with current legislation and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical program support to the HR Service Hub and staff in their day to day service delivery
• Identify, prepare and communicate processes and recommendations to policies and programs, including memos to city staff, SOPs, protocols, etc.
• Respond to external request about city of Mississauga policies and practices
• Respond to general HR inquiries received from staff, senior management, Council and outside agencies
Hourly Rate/Salary: $41.93 - $55.91 (Salary grade E $76,313 - $101,753)
