Systems Analyst

2 Year Contract

Under the direction of the Manager, Business Solutions & Project Services, the Systems Analyst is responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and configuration of business applications, and enterprise applications such as ERP, HRIS, Financial Systems and others as applicable. Acts as primary contact and support to investigate and resolve systems application issues and as Tier 2 support for corporate wide systems, triage, and support supplemental development of customized applications including basic level coding. Responsible for developing design specifications for business applications according to user requirements, and corporate standards. Undertakes all duties in accordance with IT department goals, objectives, and corporate strategy.

1. Post-Secondary Diploma in computer science and experience in enterprise business systems and customer service experience, preferably in a municipal environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Specialized training in areas of database administration, software development life cycle, applications administration, with a customer service support focus.

3. Specialized training and experience in enterprise applications, databases, operating systems, and web services object-oriented programming.

4. Experience within a municipal/government environment with understanding of municipal business functions, policies, and requirements.

5. Proven analytical, communication, customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

6. Demonstrated writing skills to prepare documentation, write user guides, prepare, and update documentation of technology.

7. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, prioritize work assignments, and participate in projects working within tight deadlines.

8. Ability to work collaboratively with teams across all departments and within IT.

9. Availability to work unscheduled overtime.
