Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources (Systems & Projects), the Coordinator, Human Resources (Systems & Projects) acts as the first level support for troubleshooting and providing day to day operational support for the Company's Human Capital Management System (HCMS), Oracle HCM Cloud, branded internally as CONNECT.

The Coordinator, Human Resources (Systems & Projects) will also perform system maintenance activities and will maintain user and system administration documentation and will provide end user training as applicable. The incumbent will be part of a team that participates in system upgrades and implementations, including testing and data analysis while supporting GCE's HR Technology Roadmap. This role will be responsible for auditing data to ensure completeness and accuracy. This role may also act as a backup for other members of the team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides operational support and issue resolution as the first level of support for end users and the company's HR and Operations teams, escalates technical issues to technical support teams and the system service provider, as needed, and follows issues through to resolution.
  • Researches and resolves first level system functionality issues and works with technical teams and vendor support services, as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains department and system administration manuals and documentation including standard operating procedures, user guides, quick reference sheets, monthly communications, and other materials as needed.
  • Assists with system testing for upgrades or implementation work and works with the Systems support team and other functional specialists and leads to implement and establish system workflows and functionality.
  • Audits and monitors data integrity within the system and may run reports to understand trends and areas for improvement; coordinates with end users to facilitate correction of any data integrity issues

Educational and Functional Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or suitable combination of education and experience, including 1-3 years of experience working with a Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS) in an operational support role or as part of an implementation project team
  • Experience with cloud based HCM (specifically Oracle HCM Cloud) an asset
  • Solid Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, along with strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse, high performing team
  • Proven ability to continually adapt and learn in a work environment
  • Highly motivated to create efficiencies with a continuous improvement focus
