IT Business Analyst

Business Analyst – Microsoft Business Central/NAV

Position Type – Contract 6 months to 1 Year

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our team with a minimum of 5 years’ experience around Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central ERP. LS Retail & LS Central experience will be considered as an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit-Gap Analysis: The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will ensure seamless collaboration between stakeholders, developers, architects and project managers. You will analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support in delivering effective IT solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
• Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimized solutions.
• Technical Liaison: Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure effective communication and mutual understanding.
• Solution Design: Develop functional specifications and collaborate with developers to design IT solutions that meet business needs.
• Project Support: Assist in project planning, scope definition, and testing phases to ensure successful project delivery.
• POCs Test & Use Cases: You will be required to develop POCs for each implemented Module within and outside of ERP supported by SWOT analysis, stakeholder analysis, and presenting results to stakeholders and management with identified pain points, weaknesses and shortcomings towards compliance requirements.
• Testing & Validation & UATs: Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions meet requirements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, user stories, and system requirements.
• Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of IT systems and processes.
• Workflows, Access Control, & Permissions: You will create approval and process workflows within the BC ERP environment along with User Access Controls, Environment Profiles and Permission Sets.

Qualifications, Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the Retail and/or FMCG industry or with a partner supporting such verticals.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with certification and/or education towards, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (D365 BC), LS Retail and LS Central, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Assessments:

• Experience with ERP Dynamics NAV/BC functional modules like Workflows, Inventory, Sales & Purchase, Financials, Supply Chain, Webservices, OData & SOAP Services, Mobile Handheld Add-ons and NAV’s Warehouse Management (WMS). Candidates will be assessed bases on technical knowledge and expertise around Dynamics NAV/BC and/or LS Retail/Central Platforms.
• Understanding of Replication and Integration Methodologies. Frameworks, Middleware, Publisher, Distributor & Subscriber Concepts. Identification, Segregation & Commissioning of such areas. Further understanding of Authentication & Encryption Protocols, APIs, Private & Publick Keys, Data Exchange Formats & Techniques (Json, XML, Flat files, base64 & blob etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (O365), Visio, JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, or other business analysis tools.
• Knowledge of IT systems, databases, and software applications is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency in reporting progress of assignment regularly to Project Management and raise any issues/concerns and propose mitigation strategies.
• Documenting functional requirements and designs, gathering and creating technical
• specifications, designing solutions, QA Testing, implementation, and maintenance of systems, Performing UAT and supporting the testing team during various stages of build.
