Supporting the DNA team, the Junior Data Analyst (summer student) will have broad exposure to projects impacting reporting, data science, data governance, and internal data products at FCT. Target recruitment is a 3rd year student going into their final year of a 4 year program of an accredited Canadian University

Note this is a hybrid role. 3 days in office required, non-negotiable.

HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Supporting our BI Transformation project by building, testing, and deploying reports in Power BI
  • Collecting and analyzing data from various business sources to identify trends, patterns, and generate insights for our business partners
  • Exploring data analysis tools and assisting with the cataloguing and project planning on report conversions
  • Assist with a range of activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evolution of FCT's Data Governance initiatives
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business problems

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Completing a 4 year degree at a Canadian University, entering the final year of that degree in September 2025.
  • Demonstrate an interest in real estate and the mortgage industry
  • Experience working in business intelligence and data analytic tools e.g., Power BI, with working knowledge of SQL. Bonus if that familiarity extends beyond the basics into a data science related stack (e.g., Python)
  • Analytical, high numeracy, and above average Microsoft Excel skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and a disposition for curiosity and great questions
