Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday, days and evenings (closed Tuesdays) - Holidays, as required

Reporting to: Rental Supervisor and Retail and Rental Manager
Start Date: December 2024


At Brimacombe ski area we don't just offer skiing and snowboarding, we offer a place for all ages to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and create memorable family experiences! We are currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused team members to help us turn everyday visits into wonderful winter memories.


As part of our Rental Team, you will be responsible for setting guests up with rental ski and snowboard equipment. You will play a key role in creating positive customer experiences, as well as defining the culture of our team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all guests, taking the initiative to interact with and engage guests of all ages in conversation
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service ensuring positive guest interactions and experiences by listening to customer needs and responding accordingly
  • Ensure all rental forms are completed accurately
  • Provide an efficient and appropriate fitting of helmets, boots, skis, snowboards and/or poles to guests
  • Recommend ski/board length and make sure bindings are set correctly for height, weight and skill level of each guest
  • Use your knowledge of Brimacombe to ensure guests are provided with all the information and options for their experience on the slopes
  • Assist in tracking all incoming returned rental equipment and document any damage to supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safety-focused work environment and ensure proper storage and sanitization of equipment
  • Take responsibility for guest enquiries/concerns/complaints in your area and deliver support in the prevention/resolution of customer issues
  • Review all directed communications and take the initiative to stay informed of all Brimacombe activities including promotions, special events and marketing campaigns as well as updates to procedures/policies
  • May be required to work outdoors at times
  • Take on any challenge or help other team members when needed


Qualifications:

  • 14 years of age or older
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented
  • Professional, energetic, outgoing and dependable team player
  • Able to lift 30 lbs
  • Must pass binding certification to Brimacombe standard
  • Able to multi-task and show attention to detail
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Previous experience in customer service is an asset but not required
  • Basic knowledge and comfort with computers including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale software

  • Intermittent paid training will be scheduled prior to first regular shift.
