We are looking for a motivated high school co-op student to join our Antenna and Filter Design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student interested in telecommunications, electrical engineering, and radio frequency (RF) technology. The successful candidate will gain exposure to real-world projects and contribute to the development of antenna and filter solutions used in cutting-edge wireless networks.

What you will do

  • Learn about RF measurement equipment, such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters etc.
  • Maintain lab organization and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Assist designers in design verification test related activities such as:

o test equipment calibration

o test setups

o executing automated tests and test data collection

  • Collaborate with team members on technical reports and presentations.

You will bring

  • Currently enrolled in high school with a strong interest in STEM subjects, particularly physics, electronics, or computer technology.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and radio frequency concepts is an asset but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a lab setting.

This position is based in Ottawa. Expectation is for student to be in the office 5 days/week (100%) with a 60% minimum in some situation based on manager's requirement.

Other requirements

  • Must commit to participating in the full seven-week program. (This means that you will not be able to take time off for summer school, vacations, or other commitments.)
  • Should have an anticipated average of at least 80%.
  • Must be enrolled in 11th and 12th grade Math and Science courses as of School year Fall 2025.

  • Proficiency in English is required.

This position reports to Manager Antenna and Filter Design.
