About this opportunity

Ericsson is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic High School Co-op student for a 2-month internship program. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the telecommunications industry, while learning from professionals who are leaders in the field.

As a co-op student, you will support various teams within the company and engage in projects that contribute to our mission of enabling the full potential of the connected world.

What you will do

• Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks in the department.

• Support team members in data collection, analysis, and reporting tasks.

• Contribute to ongoing projects, offering fresh perspectives and helping with research and

development tasks.

• Attend team meetings, providing feedback and gaining insights into industry trends.

• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to network or

product development.

• Assist with document preparation, presentation creation, and project tracking.

• Gain exposure to Ericsson's products, services, and technology, especially in 5G, cloud

solutions, and IoT.

• Support the team in customer communication and internal operations.

You will bring

• Currently enrolled as a high school student in Canada.

• A keen interest in technology, telecommunications, or engineering.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of technology or science topics (e.g., through school coursework or personal interest).

• Interest in learning more about the telecommunications industry and emerging technologies.

• Involvement in extracurricular activities (e.g., technology clubs, volunteer work, sports teams) that demonstrate teamwork and leadership.

• Positive attitude, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn.

This position is based in Ottawa. Expectation is for student to be in the office 5 days/week (100%) with a 60% minimum in some situation based on manager's requirement.

Other requirements

  • Must commit to participating in the full seven-week program. (This means that you will not be able to take time off for summer school, vacations, or other commitments.)
  • Should have an anticipated average of at least 80%.
  • Must be enrolled in 11th and 12th grade Math and Science courses as of School year Fall 2025.

  • Proficiency in English is required.

This position reports to Manager Mechanical Design.
