We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Support Systems (BSS) Architect to design, implement, and optimize the Business Support Systems (BSS) for greenfield implementations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in telecom architecture, BSS applications, and a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that BSS solutions are aligned with the company's strategic goals, providing seamless integration, scalability, and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect BSS solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices in telecom.
  • Provide guidance on BSS systems integrations with other telecom platforms, such as OSS, CRM, billing, provisioning, and analytics.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology improvements to optimize BSS architecture for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders (marketing, sales, customer service) and technical teams (developers, infrastructure, security) to deliver integrated solutions that meet business needs.
  • Oversee the delivery of BSS projects, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-deployment support.
  • Contribute to long-term BSS strategy, identifying trends, emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, AI, 5G), and opportunities for innovation.
  • Maintain detailed architectural documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to internal teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in telecom architecture, with a focus on Business Support Systems (BSS).
  • Experience with BSS vendors (e.g., Netcracker, Amdocs or similar) and open-source BSS solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of BSS components including Billing, CRM, Order Management, Revenue Assurance, and Mediation.
  • Proficiency in systems integration, data modeling, API management, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS-based BSS solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Certification in TOGAF, ITIL, or similar frameworks is an asset
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in the telecom industry
  • Experience in handling large-scale telecom BSS transformation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field experience.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex technical problems.
  • Adaptable, forward-thinking, and passionate about innovation in telecom technology.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
