The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City, as well as ensuring that communities, residents and visitors have access to the recreation and cultural places, programs, events and services that allow them to experience all the benefits the City has to offer, and overseeing Buildings and Facilities Management for improved service delivery integration, ensuring the best possible client experience in City facilities.
You are responsible for assisting with the maintenance and cleanliness of the change rooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, washrooms and pool area. You will exercise good public relations and provide information to the general public concerning facility program schedules. You are also responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of patrons in an aquatic environment and assisting with program operation, i.e. assisting patrons to use the waterslide.
Note: minimum age of 15 years is required for this Summer Student job.
High School Student - Grade 10 minimum
Note: Student must be returning to school in the fall
No related experience is required - Previous experience operating a cash register is preferred.
