Design Assurance Lead

Job Summary:

The Design Assurance Lead reports to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and plays a key role in overseeing the Quality Assurance processes during product development and certification. This role involves supporting the Engineering team by auditing development and certification processes for compliance with design plans, policies, and procedures. The Design Assurance Lead also assists in preparing for certification audits and ensures adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Prepare quality documentation for certification aspects of the development program.
Audit engineering outputs for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and resolve issues within the Problem Report and Engineering Change Proposal System.
Participate in design reviews and problem resolution.
Produce or oversee Quality Assurance Records, Conformity Reviews, and Compliance Statements

Qualifications:

Engineering Degree in Software or related field.
Knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, DO-254 standards.
Familiarity with Quality Systems, audit protocols, and Configuration Management tools (e.g., Serena Business Manager, SVN, DOORS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with cross-functional teams and certification processes.
