This is a unique opportunity for you to work with experts and engineering professionals across Canada on interesting and challenging projects. Working closely with our experts, senior engineers and designers on heavy industrial projects in the mining and power sectors including studies, the Mechatronics Engineering Intern will act as a technical resource on challenging projects.

  • Participate in carrying out study or detailed engineering mandates for clients with existing facilities or for those wanting to expand or build new facilities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary mandates as part of a work team comprised of engineers and technicians.
  • Participate in analyzing various types of technical problems related to industrial mechanics, electronics, and/or controls.
  • Prepare plans, technical data sheets, and specifications based on guidelines for mechanical mandates.
  • Prepare calculations, lists and bills of materials in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established methods while complying with the firm's quality system requirements.
  • Prepare presentations, minutes of meetings, and reports.
  • Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks.

Summary of certifications and job requirements

  • University student in Mechanical Engineering program, specializing (or planning to specialize) in Mechatronics
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and other applications as well as databases and interfaces
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally between the Toronto and Sudbury offices[AH1],
  • Open to short-term and/or long-term assignments at client offices or sites in Ontario and Canada.
  • Asset: Mechanical or electronics experience in the industrial, energy or mining sectors
  • Asset: Bilingual, English / French
